Relief Meets Intaglio Intensive with Joyce Silverstone

Tuesday-Saturday, June 4-8, 10 AM-5 PM
This 5-day intensive workshop is an introduction to working with Sintra plates (PVC board), carving them with wood or linoleum tools and/or incising them with drypoint tools. As you become comfortable with the possibilities of these plates and inking options, there will be plenty of time to concentrate on composing images, and playing between rolling relief and wiping intaglio to experience the fun variations of these versatile plates. We will be using Akua Intaglio Inks and modifiers, and exploring printing with the expressive possibilities of color.
