Anna Bucciarelli is a professional illustrator, primarily known for her designs of Canada’s most stunning collectible coins, treasured for their rarity and craftsmanship. You may have also seen her art on Starbucks holiday cups, young adult book covers, and colorful murals on the streets of Toronto. Anna’s unique style is influenced by her training in Eastern European folk art, focusing on intricate floral and plant motifs. She brings together various forms of traditional media, such as ink and watercolor, and introduces digital elements that bring delicate, exquisite detail to her designs.

Favorite Products

Escoda Reserva Kolinsky sable brushes and my all time favourite brushes for watercolor work, both traditional and commercial. My go-to's are #3 and #4, as the provide the best water retention and precision for the fine decorative botanicals that I specialize in.

Escoda Versatil synthetic sable brushes, including the the black leather 3-brush travel set. The best imitation of sable synthetic I've found, exceptional quality and performance, for a very reasonable price. In addition, I love Versatil synthetics for all my acrylic and gouache work as they provide more "spring" / resistance compared to traditional sable, which is important for fine decorative strokes I often use in my decorative illustrations.

Escoda Perla, for a large scale watercolor work, including animals, portraits and landscapes.
