Madison Heights, MI (Metro Detroit)

Arsenal Handicraft is husband and wife illustration / screen printing duo Dennis and Christina Jacobs in Madison Heights, MI.

They create pieces of art that not only tell a story, but take you on a journey through space and nature. Every piece displays their finely tuned ability to tap into each of our own desires to set off into the wild.

Taking inspiration from their travels and home base near Detroit, every original illustration is one-of-a-kind right down to the uniquely blended inks. The narrative quality of their work has been sought out by like minded storytellers, including musicians, filmmakers, comedians, and game designers.

WHY CHRISTINA & DENNIS JOINED THE SPEEDBALL DEMO ARTIST PROGRAM

We are often asked at shows and online by people who ask, “how do you do that?” Being self-taught, we understand how much trial and error goes into becoming proficient at screen printing. We feel that our experience will help those starting out will help with the growing pains of the screen printing process. We always enjoy talking shop with new as well as veteran screen printers alike.

Favorite Products

We exclusively use Speedball screen printing ink. We use the ink because it is has a matte finish, doesn't dry to quickly, and is easy to clean up. Also, because we print out of our basement studio, we appreciate that it does not have a strong smell like some of the industrial screen printing inks do.
