Speedball Boss Ribs
Developed in partnership with professional potter, Jennifer Whilden, the Speedball Boss Ribs allows for the ultimate ergonomic experience while delivering ease to the clay centering experience. Assisting with one of the most challenging aspects of the wheel throwing process, Boss Ribs provide additional support to aspiring potters to learn the centering process, minimize wear and tear on joints for seasoned potters and allow artists with sensory or mobility restrictions an opportunity to return to the wheel.
Available in four vibrant colors (Black, Blue, Pink, Green); (1) 4in x3.5in rib, (2) 4in x 2.75in ribs, (1) 4in x 1.25 rib, (2) 1in x 12in strap. Boss Ribs can be used in different configurations (both ribs with straps, one rib with strap and one without, one rib and free hand, etc.). Find the combination that works best for you!
Pair with the Boss Base for a great throwing experience and less stress on your hands, arms and shoulders!

Origin Story
The idea of the Boss Ribs came into fruition when inventor Jennifer Whilden asked the question, "Centering is the biggest barrier—how would you make centering easier?" while studying art therapy within the disabled community. A tool designed for beginners and well-seasoned ceramicists alike, Whilden considered potters of all abilities as the Boss Ribs were developed. "Wheel throwing is so beneficial. I want more people to be able to do it and experience the joy of sitting at the wheel and throwing. Whether they have limited ability, are aging, or are new students. I would like this tool to remove barriers."
