Georgia Flowers (Foxglove Art & Printmaking) is an artist who works in the medium of linocut. She is inspired by subjects around the themes of birds, nature and architecture and likes to create bold, linear images through detailed mark making.

She graduated in a degree in Fine Art at Bath Spa University in 2008 and discovered linocutting in 2012 through working at the specialist art shop Lawrence Art Supplies and has since become a self taught linocut artist.

Her love of printmaking as a medium means that all of her prints are in limited editions. Each linocut print has been individually printed using a press in her home studio and each one will be slightly different to others in its edition due to the handmade process. She loves to use select washi papers made from natural fibers by the Awagami factory in Japan as well as Speedball professional relief inks.

As well as making fine art prints, she makes a range of other linoprinted merchandise including notebooks, coasters, cards, bookmarks and tote bags which she sells through her online shop and through fairs and exhibitions.

Georgia also runs ‘Print Club’ at Lawrence Art Studio in Hove where printmakers can have open access to printmaking presses and facilities and she also teaches beginners linocutting workshops.
