Speedball had the fortune of working with co-editors Suzanne Cunningham, Sachin Shah, and Carl Rohrs on the previous edition of The Speedball Textbook. There, Carl Rohrs developed an unmatched passion for the resource and spent the last five years envisioning what evolution he’d usher into the book if serving as editor. He has absolutely done something special with the newest edition, featuring a perfect blend of lesser-known historic pieces, time-honored classics, and new modern takes from over a hundred of some of today’s most celebrated calligraphers. The result is also showcased in two formats for the first time ever, the traditional 5.5” x 8.5” size the book has utilized in nearly every edition since first being published, and now a larger size (7” x 11”) that allows for larger print and boasts six additional pages of content in a fully enhanced 2nd printing.
