Cleveland, Ohio

Gina is an artist born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Though she has dabbled in many mediums over the years from painting, ceramics, to calligraphy, her passion remains with block printing. Gina completed her BA in art education, with minors in fine art and psychology, followed by her MA in Counseling and Art Therapy. By day Gina is a counselor and art therapist at a men’s addiction treatment center, and nights and weekends she pours her time into all things print. She has always been drawn to the human condition as well as traveling to explore new places and cultures, and these themes can be seen throughout her work.

Today Gina enjoys exploring and expanding what she can do with linocut block printing, from textiles to embossing and everything in between. She enjoys sharing the love of print with others, developing carving and printmaking sets to make printmaking more accessible. Gina also hosts a semi-annual printmaking challenge, #blockpartywithgina, to build community and support printmakers and other creatives. Gina believes in the power of the creative process, and believes everyone should have an opportunity to create art, especially the meditative and therapeutic properties of carving and printing.
