Alpharetta, GA

Simone Bryant is an artist and printmaker, making playful hand-carved rubber stamps out of her home studio in Alpharetta, GA. She specializes in block printing and loves carving fine details, using whimsical gradients and working with other makers to create custom logo stamps. After 10 years in corporate marketing roles, Simone found her passion for printmaking after deciding to put her  career on pause while raising her twin boys.  She stumbled upon the Speedball block printing kit at the craft store, and never looked back, spending nearly every day over the next year carving. Her one-woman shop for prints and custom stamps, Barneby Fox, opened in early 2020.

Artist Statement

I have always been creative and while my formal education wasn't in the arts, I joined any club or outside art program I could to scratch that creative itch. I always knew I wanted to start my own online shop and I find so much joy in carving and working and collaborating with other artists and makers. The printmaking community through Speedball and on Instragram have been huge in supporting and influencing my creative journey.

Favorite Products

I always feel like a walking Speedball advertisement, because almost all of my tools are Speedball products.  Speedy Carve is all I use. I've tried other carving blocks and nothing compares.  I love how easily it carves, making it great for both beginners and more seasoned artists. You can get nice smooth cuts and tiny details, which is  absolutely necessary when carving lettering and logos.
