My Drawing Fluid is shifting when I coat with Screen Filler. What can I do to keep that from happening?

If your Drawing Fluid is moving when Screen Filler is used to coat the screen, it’s likely because too much Drawing Fluid as been applied. When using the Drawing Fluid, be sure to not have any peaks form, with all areas being able to dry to a light, ashy blue tint versus any richer blue “pools.”

Can I reclaim my screen?

Yes, when using the Drawing Fluid + Screen Filler method, you can wash out your design and reclaim the screen using Speed Clean.

Screen Filler + Drawing Fluid Method

If you're new to screen printing, how do you decide what technique is right for you? Put simply, the Drawing Fluid and Screen Filler method of screen printing is a direct, low-tech technique where you paint your image with the water-soluble Drawing Fluid (like a resist), then apply the waterproof Screen Filler over the entire screen. After drying, the Drawing Fluid is washed out, leaving a stencil where the ink can pass through. It's ideal for hand-drawn designs and creates a painterly quality without photomechanical steps, using the fluid to mask areas you want to print and the filler to block everything else.
