Individually, Blue Tiger's Eye is a whimsical gloss glaze featuring rich cascading blues with rutile undertones wherever it breaks and is great for texture. On its own, Blackcurrant is an inviting gloss glaze with a sophisticated finish. Fairly opaque, Blackcurrant flows smoothly over high points and textures greeting you with white almost transparent color at the breaks. When layered this combination has rich purple tones with swirling blues where generously applied.
The test tile in the image is B-mix clay, fired to Cone 6 with one dip of each glaze which is similar to three brushed coats.
